  1. I’ve read Maggie Ann’s story about her tragic start in life and how her rescue has seen her grow and thrive with the immense loving care of her adoptive parents, Mamie and Doug Adkins. I also read their new book, co-authored with Martha Char Love, another fervent dog lover and it is chock full of love and information about nutrition and puppy care. In my view, this book is an excellent resource guide for anyone interested in canine welfare.

  2. Hello Linda,

Thank your visiting and your comments about our new book. Maggie Anne has come a long way with her health improving from good nutrition and why we wanted to share that information in our new book. Studying nutrition along with having several years experience cooking for our lab, Sandy, we were thankful to have had experience and somewhat prepared for our little Maggie. She is such a blessing but it is so sad knowing the shelters are full of other abused animals needing homes.
The three of us worked hard to share the very best of what we created in recipes using only human grade ingredients but had a great time along the way as we experimented with recipes and laughed at the memories we wrote about with our dogs of today as well as yesterdays.

    Again, thank you for visiting.
